SIGA2 Conference 2025
The NERO project is taking part in the upcoming SIGA2 Conference 2025, a three-day international conference from 7-9 May 2025, organised by the Special Interest Group A2 Ports and Maritime of the World Conference on Transport Research Society (WCTRS), hosted by the Department of Transport and Regional Economics at the University of Antwerp, Belgium.
The conference, renowned for blending academic, sector, and policy contributions, creates a dynamic environment where scientific developments can directly inform practice and policy. Attendees benefit from a mix of scientific sessions, hands-on port visits, and cultural experiences in Antwerp, with no compulsory paper submissions, allowing researchers the flexibility to refine and expand their ideas during the event.
Representing the NERO project, Kitty Klitis, Project Coordinator from Trustilio, will deliver a presentation titled “Implementing the European Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF) for Maritime Cybersecurity Professionals Using a Human-Centric Approach.” Her session highlights the project’s commitment to strengthening cybersecurity skills in the maritime sector while promoting human-centric strategies that align with European standards.
Through its participation, the NERO project engages with a diverse community of researchers, policymakers, and industry practitioners, reinforcing its mission to advance innovation in cybersecurity for critical maritime infrastructure.
